A Fading Star

With his arrest and charges that he murdered his ex-wife, Nicole, and her acquaintance, Ron Goldman, O. J. Simpson’s decades-long  image as football hero and charming good guy began to fray. This is the haiku I wrote 20 years ago today:

Disarming bright smile

Defends against the charges.

Tarnish on the star.
