Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lance Ito gave defense and prosecuting lawyers the opportunity to voice objection, if they had any, to him serving as the Simpson trial judge, given that his wife was a high-ranking officer in the Los Angeles Police Department. None did. Here’s the haiku I wrote the day 20 years ago when that happened.
Ito’s wife’s a cop.
