Then sequestration?
After prospective jurors who would face hardship — primarily financial hardship — by serving on a trial expected to last several weeks (at least, that was the projection in late September 1994) were dismissed, the remaining prospective jurors were given questionnaires to fill out. And, yes, the spectre of sequestration was already in the discussion.
