After remaining quiet for months after the murders of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman while Simpson’s defense attorneys held daily press conferences giving their side of the story, members of their families started saying publicly that Simpson did it. That resulted in the dismissal of at least three prospective jurors in just one day because they had heard Nicole’s sister, Denise, make such a statement. After a few days of back and forth, both sides agree to tone down their rhetoric.
